Gaming revenues increased in 2016, according to trade body ESA says U.S. game industry raised $30.4 billion in 2016

The ESA has confirmed that US consumer spending on video games and gaming hardware has increased slightly last year to over $30 billion. This included the sales of game software, especially in the mobile section went up to $24 billion.

The ESA, reviewed various reasons for the growth, including major mobile hits, a recorded number of PC games and core franchised successes such as battlefield and call of duty: Infinite warfare.

In another note , a new report from a research firm Jon Pedddie research estimates that PC gaming hardware sales were worth $30 billion in global revenue last year. It has also been predicted that an annual six percent growth rate will be expected for the rest of the decade.
